Hi, my name is John and I'm the Youth Director at Matthews Memorial Presbyterian. If you are a student or parent of a student in Albany I would love to get to know you. Here are some things I would like you to know about me....
I love golf, pretty much any sport, good food, and spending time with friends. I also love spending time with my wife to be, Claire Gibson.
I also love hanging out with kids. My life was changed by Jesus in high school and I came to Albany because I have a passion to show His uncondtional love to the students of Albany, Texas.
If I can ever do anything for you, please don't hesitate to contact me! Find me around town or email me: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Every Sunday, our youth are invited to experience fellowship with the rest of the church at our all church breakfast that begins at 9:30 a.m.
- There is a Sunday School class for youth every week at 10:00 a.m. in our Youth Area
- Each week our teenagers are invited to join our church for worship at 11:00 a.m.
- During the school year, on Sunday nights from 5:30-7:00 p.m. our teenagers are invited to "The Thing" (Dinner, games, Christ-centered discussion/teaching)
Our youth went to Mo Ranch this past summer (2015) and experienced great fellowship and spent time worshipping Jesus in the midst of his beautiful creation in Hunt, Texas. This year we are headed to New Mexico for the adventure of a lifetime!
The Feed Store
Albany is a town that really believes in Youth Ministry. Our former pastor, Trey Little, had a vision to create a place where kids could be fed both physically and spiritually and The Feed Store was the result. The Feed Store is a gift for the teenagers of Albany and countless students are impacted by it each year. Our church loves participating with all the other churches of Albany to show the love of Jesus to the youth of our town through the Feed Store.
