At MMPC we take the Great Commission seriously. We are passionate about the Lord Jesus and the glory of His name. We yearn for everyone in Albany to "drink" and experience the Living Water of Christ (John 4). And we feel nourished when we "eat" and participate in doing God's will (John 4).
We want to be known as a generous church and one dialed in to the heartbeat of Jesus for our local community. At the same time, we love participating in what God is doing worldwide.
We believe God has given us a local heartbeat as well as an international heartbeat.
We believe it's important to try and avoid being butter spread over too much bread. We feel it's important to commit to a few things, rather than too many. After a significant season of praying and discerning God's will, our missions committee has zeroed in on giving towards a ministry partner in India called, "Soul Winners India." In 2016 we gave to this anointed ministry. Last year alone, Soul Winners supported 489 pastors, cared for 81 orphans, lead 385 students through their Bible schools, and guided 68 aspiring pastors through seminary. They saw 12,000 people come to Christ, having baptized 4, 320 of them. They also planted 241 new churches. All of this took place in 2016 alone!
Our Deacons are responsible for stewarding the resources we have allocated for local Kingdom impact. MMPC is proud to be connected to 4 local ministries that we give to financially and with our time. Virgina's House is a child advocacy family resource center. Our church has partnered with them to provide mentoring and financial support to at-risk students in Albany. We also proudly financially contribue to the Albany Boy's Ranch, the Open Door Pregnancy Center and of course to Closet Angels.
