SIT, DRINK, EAT
We use these three words to communicate our desire and prayer for you.
We want you to come and enjoy a seat at our table. More importantly, we want you to know the Lord Jesus values you and wants you to sit at His matchless table, forever. The scriptures are loaded with evidence that God is hospitable! He is a host like no other! The first thing we want you to know about our church is you are welcome to come and "sit" with us. We begin our Sunday mornings with members taking turns making an epic breakfast for our church family! Come "sit" with us at 9:30 a.m. any Sunday of the year and experience our hospitality! Bring the whole family! Bring a friend! We also have Church Suppers and all in our town are invited to join us on the third Wednesday of every month! Come join us at 6:30 p.m. for one of those epic feasts! We also have Men's and Women's Gatherings on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the fall and the spring! These are great events to come and enjoy fellowship with our church family! Come and "sit" with us soon! Here are some biblical examples of why we think it's important to welcome all in our town to "sit" with us! (Revelation 3:20, 2 Samuel 9, Luke 19:1-10)
Not only do we want to show you hospitality, we also want you to come take a "drink" with us. Jesus once made a profound claim in John chapter 4. While talking to a woman who was on a search for meaning and siignificance in life, Jesus introduced himself as Living Water. He informed this woman that her soul was thirsty for him. We believe that Jesus hydrates the soul. Albany is a town perperpetually in need of rain. Our land tends to get dry easily! In the same way, we believe our soul was created with a need for water. We believe Jesus is the thirst quencher like no other. Not only do we want to make you feel welcome to "sit" at our table, we also want you to come experience Living Water with us each and every Sunday! We also would love for you to come pray with us during one of our prayer gatherings and be hydrated by Jesus through a variety of church experiences we offer. Here are some biblical examples of why we think it's important to welcome all in our town to "drink" with us! (John 4, Psalm 42, John 7:37-38)
We would love for you to come "sit" with us, "drink" Living Water with us, and "eat" with us as well! Jesus once made this profound statement to his disciples, "I have food to eat that you know nothing about," (John 4:32). He proclaimed he had secret food to offer them! He then unveiled the menu by saying, "My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and to complete his work," (John 4:34). Later on in the book of John Jesus proclaimed himself to be the Bread of Life, the ultimate nourishment for our hungry inner-beings. We believe God has created you for a purpose. We believe when you begin offering your gifts to Jesus and serving him with your life, your soul will experience a satisfaction nothing else in the world can offer. Here are some biblical examples of why we think it's important for you to eventually "eat" with us! (John 4, John 6:35, Psalm 104:13)
